This is a nine-inch by six-inch watercolor and colored pencil piece originally done as part of StreamINK 2023 for the prompt "reflection." This was also inspired by a short story about a selkie written by tumblr user lustfulpasiphae. The selkie expects her lover to steal her cloak, like so many do, and hides it until she decides she wants to be kept. She lays her cloak in her lover's house, expecting it to be taken. And it isn't. Time after time, until the selkie asks why her lover doesn't want to keep her since her cloak hasn't been stolen to trap her there. The lover responds "is that the shape of love that you desire?"
